Passion: Providing Stewardship Preaching/Teaching to Rev up Churches across the nation!
Andrew (Drew) Gysi is the high-energy and dynamic Ministry Director at the Life Institute, where he’s not just about connecting with pastors but also about sparking stewardship discussions in the local church through nationwide seminars. With nearly 30 years in the pastoral saddle, Drew has ridden the waves of ministry from Youth Pastor to Executive Pastor to Senior Pastor, while shepherding the hearts of people at churches big and small.
Armed with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Bible from Philadelphia Biblical University, Drew brings a unique blend of scholarly insight and pastoral warmth, along with decades of pastoral experience to his work. Ordained twice over, he navigates the highs and lows of church life with wisdom and empathy, making each seminar not just about teaching and preaching but effective in moving the local church to new levels of generosity, all for greater Kingdom impact.
When He’s Not Preaching:
- Married for 39 years to his high school sweetheart, the lovely Cheryl, with whom they have two adult children, Spencer and Cambria. Filling out their family, he has a delightful daughter-in-law, Emilie, and his ultra-cute 3-year-old granddaughter, Hadli (endearingly named “my sweetness”).
- Congregational Life: When not out and about at seminars, he and Cheryl worship at the ever-growing and soon-to-be reproducing Branch Life Church in Pughtown, PA, where Drew leads a small group and steers the budget/finance teams as the Church’s Deacon of Finance.
Hobbies That Rev Up His Life:
- The Fixer-Upper: Drew enjoys transforming his “fixer-upper” home and 3+ acre property (with a pond) into a country-setting masterpiece, one project at a time.
- Motor Mania: A true gearhead, Drew loves nothing more than to spend his free time tinkering and enjoying projects in the garage, like his old International Harvester tractor, an all-original 1967 Galaxie 500 Convertible, and his motorcycle, which keeps his spirit of adventure running high.
Life/Favorite Verses:
- Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
- Colossians 3:23: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.”
Whether he’s preaching, counseling, teaching, or fixing something mechanical, Drew Gysi lives life with the same enthusiasm he brings to his ministry – always ready to roll up his sleeves and make an eternal impact.
